Ohio Concussion requirement
Due to Ohio law for concussion awareness and return to play referees certified in states other than Ohio must complete the NFHS concussion awareness course in order to referee games that are sanctioned in Ohio, even if they are being played on fields in Kentucky. Many of the select teams in NKY play in an Ohio league for games or tournaments.
Once the course is completed save the concussion certificate in PDF. It is a good practice to print it and keep it in your referee bag. Please fill out the google form with the certificate details needed in oder for assignors to verify. You may be asked to send a copy of the PDF if the details can not be verified.
